Easter Petanque Carnival Cancelled
To the Australian Petanque Community As a result of the continued increase in the number of Corona Virus cases in Australia and in accordance the recommendations of the FIPJP: The Board of Petanque Federation of Australia has decided to cancel the Easter Petanque Carnival planned to take place in Adelaide over Easter This decision has not been made lightly nor in haste, but regrettably and with deep disappointment. We apologise for any inconvenience caused by the cancellation of this event, but it would be unwise for PFA to disregard the advice of the FIPJP and the Australian and State Governments on this matter. The Board of PFA believes we must all make every effort to contain the spread of this potentially-deadly virus and as such the decision is made also out of a ‘duty of care’ for our Petanque community. Jonathan and the team at Novar Gardens have put in a tremendous amount of work into the preparation for this event including construction of 15 extra pistes. They are very disappointed but accept this decision as being necessary and are now determined to make sure Easter 2021 is even bigger and better.
