PFA Acts on Victorian League - Update
Update on this post Feb 5th:
The PFA has postponed this Special General Meeting after some Victorian Clubs requested time to discuss the issue before a SGM was called. Since then the two remaining members of the Victorian League Committee of Management along with the previous Secretary and Treasurer have convened a Special general meeting for the same date with the same business - to elect a new executive.
Petanque Federation Australia Notice To affiliated Victorian Petanque Clubs-Victorian Petanque League The Petanque Federation Australia board received correspondence from the Victorian Petanque League secretary Mr. Peter Wells this week stating that all executive members of the Victorian Petanque League (President , Vice President , Treasurer and Secretary) had resigned as from Monday 16th February (President had resigned prior to this date). The Petanque Federation Australia board was disappointed to receive this correspondence as the resigned Victorian Petanque League executive had worked very hard to enable petanque to grow very visibly in the past few years in Victoria. Discussion at the Petanque Federation Australia board on Wednesday 18th January, 2017 concerning the correspondence received, resulted in the PFA appointing three Victorian Petanque Federation Australia board members (Andre Deramond, Jeff Langdon and Sandra Webb) to assist Victorian clubs in the best way possible for a positive future outcome. The Petanque Federation Australia’s Constitution stipulates that the board has the authority to assist a league in a time of need.
