New Petanque Rules Approved

The PFA Board has adopted the Official Rules of the Sport of Petanque on the 30 December 2016 applicable as from the 1st January 2017 The PFA Umpire Commission (Ray Beaumont, Danny Green, Pete Beaumont and Andre Deramond) and Trevor Nelson NZ Director of Umpiring have participated and contributed to the review with the FIPJP. It took over 6 months to finalise the Official Rules of the sport of Petanque, with different versions released. New rules and modifications have been highlighted in blue in the text in the document which can be found on the Documents Page PFA Timed Games and PFA Local rules have been amended accordingly and can be found on the PFA website also on the Documents Page.

Future reviews of the Rules of the sport will be conducted in Olympics years.
