Vale Rene Thibault

It is with great sadness that we advise that Rene Thibault passed away this morning. He was a great man who, although being diagnosed with cancer, did not give up his game of Petanque. In the attached photo, he is proudly wearing his medal won in the Australian championship 2017 teaming up with Robert Boudan and Neil Kelly. Nothing would stop Rene from having fun at Petanque. He managed to attend the Australian Championship 2018 where he also won a prize. His little “secret recipe” will be missed by all. He was a great “chef” for France Petanque. May his soul rest in peace. Robert Boudan President France Petanque Club
