New category of Player License

The PFA recently endorsed a new category of Licence - Casual. This is designed to assist clubs with encouraging new or ocassional players to play in PFA endorsed tournamnets. 1. Petanque Federation Australia will make available to member clubs a facility where the club may hold up to 6 licenses for issue to casual players who attend their club. This facility is provided for the use of new players, overseas visitors and sponsors who wish to participate in a tournament. This facility is not provided for regular unlicensed players as means to play in a sanctioned tournament. This facility is not available for players to participate in State Championships or PFA National and International

PFA Easter Carnival 2017 to 2019

The Petanque Federation Australia Board recently met to decide the host club for the PFA Easter Carnivals for the next three years (2017, 2018, 2019) It was decided that Caulfield Petanque Club would be the host club. More information on the format and enrolment later in the year.

Thai Open during the Pan Pacific Games

The Thai federation will be running the Thai Open during the Pan Pacific Games, all clubs and players are free to enter a team in the Thai Open at their own expenses The official hotel is Krabi Resort Hotel. The venue of the competition will be at the Noppharathara Beach National Park. The petanque lanes will be beside the beach. For other clubs that will join the competition will have the expenses as follow: 1. Single Bed Room, full board accommodations 60 US$ or 50 Euros/ day/room. (total 180 US$ or 150 Euros) 2. Double Bed Room, full board accommodations 75 US$ or 65 Euros I day I room (total 225 US$ or 195 Euros for 2 persons) Free transportation will be availa

2017 Trans Tasman announced

The Petanque Federation Australia Board has pleasure in congratulating the Eastern Suburbs Petanque Club in Adelaide as being the venue for the 2017 Trans Tasman International to be held on March 18th and 19th 2017. Further information will be avaliable in due course .
