Australian Team to 2014 Pan Pac Petanque Championships Announced

The PFA Board is pleased to announce the to represent PFA and Australia at the 2014 Pan Pac Petanque Championships in Angel City, The Philippines from the 30th May to the 1 June. The teams, selected from the Representative Train-on Squad are: Men: Eric Leconte, St Kilda Club, Vic Raja Jamaleddine, Eastern Suburbs Club, SA Sukrit Vaswani, Eastern Suburbs Club, SA Iskender Maski, Eastern Suburbs Club, SA Women: Libby Sowter, Lake Macquarie Club, NSW Min Kuan Lim, Weird Petanque Club, Vic Eileen Marie, St Kilda Club, Vic Kate Mangan, Camberwell Club, Vic The PFA Board congratulates these players and wishes them well for the competition. Trans Tasman Success

The touring teams to the 2014 Trans Tasman Petanque Challenge fought valiantly against our colleagues across the 'ditch' over the weekend of the 22nd and 23rd March. In one of the closest competitions in seven years, both teams played to the last round to find eventual winners. In the Open Division, Australia lost by two points to New Zealand. The Over 60 Team took out the competition and brought home the trophy. Congratulations to the Over 60's for their fantastic effort and results.
