Rules for Timed Games

PFA has developed a set of rules to be used when conducting or participating in timed games. These rules have been developed to ensure clear understanding of the rules as they are applied to these games. They differ slightly between International and National Championships and the Interstate Challenge. Players, officials and member clubs should familiarise themselves with these rules.

Tir de Precision Rules Approved

With the reintroduction of a shooting event to the Australian International Triples Open Championships, PFA has released a set of rules for the conduct of both the National Tir de Precision competition and the state Tir de Precision Competition that will be used as the qualifying event. Those players wishing to contest the National Tir de Precision at the Australian International Open Triples will need to achieve the advertised benchmark in their state event and be a member of a competing team in the Triples Championships. 2014 National Representative Train-on Squad Confirmed

After receiving a new round of Expressions of Interest, the 2014 National Representative Train-on Squad has been confirmed. Over 70 players have expressed an interest in being selected to represent PFA and Australia in international tournaments. These players will now work with their State Coach to develop an individual training plan to further develop their playing skills, competition experience, teamwork and self-management. Each player has completed a player profile where thay have indicated the tournaments that they are available to compete in. Changes to National Tournament Regulations

At its December Board Meeting the PFA Directors approved amendments to Articles of the National Tournament Regulations. The amendments were to bring up to date the tournament organisation to reflect the inclusion of international teams in these tournaments. They also addressed some structural issues of the tournaments and the re-introduction of a Precision Shooting Competition (a Tir de Precision Championship).
