The Trans Tasman held in Adelaide last weekend was a very competitive event with the Open title going narrowly to the Australian team and the Over Sixties event going down to the wire, eventually going to the New Zealanders.
Host Club Eastern Suburbs was praised by all for their exemplary running of the weekend. A few pics follow. And here is a link to the results.
A full report from Director of Sports Andre Deramond can be found here.
For more on the Trans Tasman see the Facebook pages of Eastern Suburbs PC and New Zealand Petanque.
To all Players and Coaches.
I would like to congratulate you all on doing such a great job last weekend. To win the Open competition after 9 years and to miss out by only 2 points in the Veterans was a fantastic result and you should all be proud of what you achieved. Take some time out to feel good about what you all did.
Those of you who are going to Melbourne for the Easter Carnival good luck. I hope you all have great time.
Then, lets start preparing for the next Trans Tasman. Next year we want to go to New Zealand and win both trophies.
Also I would like to thank Andre Deramond for doing such great job organising the competition, the whole weekend went perfectly.
