One of our long time members Martial Leconte has engineered a machine to enable Petanque players to practice their shooting. The PST (Petanque Shooting Trainer) is going on a world tour.
On his wonderful journey Martial built a prototype in his back yard here in Australia in 2007. Then with the help of another St Kilda member Daniel Hanebuth they decided to build another machine in Germany to be displayed in major pétanque events all over Europe.
Just a few months ago the machine was displayed in France in Miliau, Puy en Velay, Perigueux and Ruoms. Many well-known pétanque champions and world champions practiced on Martial’s Machine.
Amongst the players who played on the PST were world legends like Marco Foyot, Dylan Rocher, Bruno Rocher, Fabio Zeni, Simon Cortes, Cindy Perrault, Bruno Le boursicaud and Claudy Weibel just to name a few enjoyed their time on the PST.
You can follow Martial’s adventure on his facebook pages.
Long life to the PST. Well done Martial
